This 1982 Ocean Yachts 42 Sportfish is built for long cruises and also handles fishing trips well.
The owner is a former Coast Guardsman. He bought it in about 2006.
"It handles the seas fine. I've done 20 knots in six-footers," the owner says. "She's very stable."
The two inboard 410-horsepower Detroit 671 TI engines are original to the boat. The owner says he has never had major problems with them and has only had to tend to routine maintenance like replacing hoses.
"It's in good shape. The boat runs good," the owner says.
The powerful engines push the boat along.
"To move a boat that size at 20 knots ... The boat's powered very well," the owner says.
He has found the boat easy to maneuver.
"It's the easiest boat I've ever handled as far as putting it into a dock," the owner says.
The generator was replaced in 2004 and has about 650 hours on it.
The boat has two bedrooms plus a large L-shape couch in the salon. It sleeps six.
